Wolverhampton lit up by stunning 3D projection and lantern parade as city celebrates arts and culture
It was a night of vibrant colour across Wolverhampton city centre as the rich history, heritage and diversity of the city was celebrated.
The front of St Peter's Church was covered with a 3D light projection show, while a Lantern Parade by Gatis Community Space filled the streets with colour and sound on a busy Friday night in Wolverhampton.
The "Lights in the Night" show on St Peter's Church conveyed the city’s past as presented in a 3D light animation, playing on a loop every five minutes, and people were able to spot key highlights such as running wolves and exploding locks.

The show was led by Illuminos, a company which has more than 10 years’ experience creating visually inventive and memorable projection artwork and experiences, and ran over Friday and Saturday, providing a wide range of vivid colour.
It was also part of The ‘Light Over Darkness’ exhibition, which ran at St Peter’s Church and allowed visitors to discover the power of art within the sacred architecture, with a rare public rehearsal by the St Peter’s Collegiate Choir in the main chapel also taking place.
