There will be a series of concerts taking place across a week at the Cathedral as part of Christmas celebrations, which include the light displays taking place outside.

A different choir will be performing each evening from Monday, December 15 to Sunday, December 21 and are included as part of the admission price for the Christmas Light Show.

A spokeswoman for Lichfield Cathedral said: "After exploring the breath-taking light displays around the Cathedral Close, step inside to experience something truly special: the sound of live festive music filling the historic space.

"Each evening, local community choirs will perform carols and seasonal favourites, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy that goes beyond a light show and it’s a celebration of togetherness and tradition.

"The Cathedral has always been a place of music and worship, and we wanted to add an extra layer of festive spirit.

"The choirs bring a sense of community and nostalgia, turning the Light Show into an immersive experience where visitors can pause, listen, and feel the heart of Christmas.

"This year’s event introduces The Robin’s Reward, a dazzling display of projections and lights around The Close and across the iconic West Front of the Cathedral, offering visitors a magical winter walk before stepping inside for music and reflection.

"The Christmas Light Show runs for seven nights from Monday, December 15 to Sunday, December 21, with showings from 5.15pm. Tickets start from £8 for children and £11.50 for adults."
