The Gatehouse Theatre in Stafford and the Lichfield Garrick will be filled with song, laughter and chants of "he's behind you" throughout December and into the new year as panto season gets underway.

The Gatehouse will be the place to be to watch Sleeping Beauty from December 5 until January 4.

CBBC legend Mark Rhodes will lead a star cast including panto dame David Phipps-Davis and singer and actress Samantha Spragg in a classic rendition of the popular fairy tale.

"Packed with magic, laughter, and festive fun, this enchanting show is the perfect way to make your Christmas dreams come true."

Tickets start from £21 and can be bought at the Gatehouse Theatre website, while a British Sign Language performance will take place on December 27 and a relaxed performance on December 20.

The theatre has also confirmed that discounts will be available for schools attending selected performances.

Another classic fairy tale will be played out at Lichfield Garrick from November 21 to January 11 as the story of Cinderella hits the big stage.
