'This is going to be spectacular' - Dates for first-ever Birmingham Drag & Burlesque Festival confirmed

Organisers of Birmingham's first-ever Drag & Burlesque festival have been confirmed - and fans are already excited!

Founder of performance group, House of Allure, Danny Phillips - who performs under the stage name Dominus Von Vexo - has masterminded the two-day extravaganza set to take place next year. 

Taking to his story, Danny wrote: "I woke up today and my stomach turned with both excitement and nerves! Exactly one year today it will be the opening show of Birmingham's first Drag and Burlesque Festival! I really excited for that is to come. 

"The challenges, the creativity and the collective achievement this will be. I have always strived to push boundaries in Birmingham, whilst honouring the roots I came from. I really think this will be the pinnacle of that!

"Thank you for all the support, shares and enquiries I have had so far! It means a lot. It's tough for the arts right now and I decided to take the biggest gamble. One I have faith will pay off for all of those involved.

Fans were eagerly waiting for the official dates for the first-of-its-kind event in the city to be revealed - which have now been confirmed as the 6th-8th November 2026!

Following the announcement, fans immediately took to the comments on the festival's official Instagram page to share their excitement for the event as the countdown begins. 

One wrote: " This is so exciting!!! Can’t wait to celebrate the launch of the festival with everyone," while another added: "This is going to be spectacular!! " 

A third commented: "Proud of you all and how far house of allure has come."
