The CBSO, in collaboration with esk, will celebrate the visual and symphonic success of Lucas’ three-part epic, screening it in-full with a synchronised, orchestral rendition of John Williams’ OSCAR®-winning score, in the iconic Symphony Hall.

The weekend programme will see music from 'A New Hope,' (Friday, October 24), 'The Empire Strikes Back,' (Saturday, October 25) and 'Return of the Jedi' (Sunday, October 26) all set to feature.

Emma Stenning, Chief Executive at the CBSO agrees: “Star Wars continues to thrill fans across generations, and the opportunity to experience them with a full orchestra will be a truly unforgettable experience.

"For one weekend, the Birmingham Symphony Hall will be the destination for all those who cherish George Lucas’ work as much as we do.

"The ripple effects of Star Wars can still be felt across both film and modern classical music, and as accolades are set to be handed out to the industries’ current stars, this is an opportunity to honour one of the cornerstones of modern picture.

"We look forward to welcoming lifelong fans, or maybe even those being introduced to the magic of Star Wars for the very first time.”
