Monmore will also be raising funds for charities Prostate Cancer UK and Children With Cancer UK via a raffle including prizes such as a free meal for four people in the track's viewing restaurant.

The stadium's communications manager Joe Edwards said: "National Greyhound Week is always a lovely time with the theme this year being 'Sporting Legends'. We're always keen to support the event as much as possible and are again offering free admission throughout the whole week.

"Thursday evening that week will also see us host a full card of presentation races, with a special jacket for the winning greyhound to wear and rosettes for connections to keep.

"If you haven't been to Monmore before or visited for a while, we'd love to see you. Greyhound racing is a great activity for all the family to enjoy and we have lots of indoor seating, bar and snack bar facilities for customers.

"Hopefully it's a successful week once again as we celebrate our sport and look to raise its profile further."

National Greyhound Week will run from August 25-31. For more details about upcoming events visit the website monmoregreyhounds.com.
