High-tech leisure entertainment venue Funstation is coming to Merry Hill
Family entertainment venue Funstation's Carnival Golf & Games will be opening its doors in Merry Hill shopping centre soon.
The leisure attraction is moving into is taking over part of the space in the former Debenhams unit to host an array of indoor adventures including escape room games, mini-golf and arcade machines.
It will feature the centrepiece Carnival Golf and two further themed courses along with video, virtual reality games in the 23,700 sq ft space.

Funstation boss James Miller said: "Our new Merry Hill venue represents our largest and most ambitious project yet.
"We’re pulling out all the stops to create an unforgettable experience combining the best of our brands and activities and we are really excited to anchor the leisure offer.
"Merry Hill’s scale, energy, and incredible catchment made it the perfect choice for our next level venue.”

The attraction will complete the transformation of the former Debenhams space joining Harvey Norman and XF Gym to form a new trio of anchor brands at the shopping centre in Brierley Hill near Dudley.
Centre bosses said the arrival of the high-tech entertainment business will on the popularity of Merry Hill’s leisure quarter, which has seen footfall rise by over 26 per cent since the opening of Hollywood Bowl.

Merry Hill's centre manager Jonathan Poole said: “Funstation is set to bring something completely new and exciting to Merry Hill and we can’t wait for visitors to experience it.
"From the arcade and escape rooms to the unique Carnival Golf courses, the scale and ambition of the new location is sure to blow visitors away, while creating even more ways to enjoy time at the centre.

Funstation is due to open later this year and will arrive hard on the heels of QR code trail Qrious Quest which is due to open at the centre later this month.
The new flagship Harvey Norman store opened its door last October filling much of the space left empty after Debenhams closed in May 2021 following administration.
