The top six West Midlands film locations as Dudley named the most loved TV location to visit

The Black Country and Birmingham have played host to many famous faces calling in to film movies and small screen dramas.

And new research has found that Dudley is currently sitting top of the TV location capital list.

Many drama shows were shot at iconic spots.

Here's a look at the top six film locations in the West Midlands

1) Dudley

For the hugely successful BBC drama Peaky Blinders, the town’s Black Country Living Museum played a central role, doubling for the gritty industrial back streets of 1920s Birmingham. The museum attraction holds themed events based on the show for fans to get immersed in the atmosphere of the series, helping to boost visitor numbers.

6) Digbeth

With filming increasing in the West Midlands, it has provided many opportunities with the Staffordshire officially launching its new film office. Productions have so far raked in almost £500,000 for the county this year.

Meanwhile Peaky Blinders and This Town creator Steven Knight last year opened his Digbeth Loc Studios in Birmingham providing over 400 jobs to provide screen industry work and training opportunities and to promote the region as a viable location.
