The former Unsigned column stars are a five-piece melancholic synth-rock outfit who burst onto the scene in 2015 and have to date peppered fans' ears with a selection of singles since day one. They have also garnered a local reputation for their energetic and atmospheric live performances - earning them nominations at both the Black Country Music Awards and Birmingham Music Awards.

The band said in a statement: "The new EP Anything encompasses everything this band represent; seriously impressive keyboard-heavy pop rock that sits somewhere in between Interpol, White Lies and Joy Division. The EP will land on the October 4, while first single Back Of Your Hand launches the campaign today.

More coverage:

"From delicate ballad-like piano, to foundation-laying drums and an infectious rhythm, Anything exploits the classic 80s electronica era with modern indie rock and roll. It bends and completely destroys genre boundaries and creates something special from the get-go."

Anything is their most ambitious effort to date, mixing euphoric electronics, arena-sized choruses, and versatile songwriting from start to finish.

On creating the record, the band added: “Back Of Your Hand is about TV and media controlling us, or trying to. It’s about the two-faced politicians arguing, then being best friends to look good or make a point because that’s what they think people want to see - dumbing down the common people, benefitting themselves.

"All the songs on the EP are kind of about that subject really. Human Existence is questioning everything and anything, that’s why the EP is called Anything.”

METHODS will be playing a couple of live dates to promote the new release too.

On September 28, they'll be performing in-store at their home city's Stay Loose Records store on Farmers Fold in the city centre. October 5 will then see them launch the EP at the Newhampton Inn in Wolverhampton.
