Organised with no actual budget and only the money in the organisers pockets, FearFest aims to be a convention made by the fans, for the fans rather than a commercial event.

This year's guest of honour is director Norman J Warren who is best known for his string of British horror and science fiction films such as Bloody New Year, Inseminoid, Terror, Prey and Satan's Slave.

In 2016, he announced his first movie in 30 years, a thriller set within London's Chinese community that is currently in post-production.

Other guests include The Amityville Asylum actress Eileen Daly, Fantasy Tales magazine editors Stephen Jones and David Sutton, The House of Screaming Death co-director David Hastings and Still director Carl Timms.

The FearFest weekend coincides with the 106th anniversary of the birth of a true horror legend, Vincent Price. To coincide with this, FearFest have announced that they will be screening 1973 film Theatre of Blood as well as announcing that their will be a special appearance by someone linked to this movie, although they have not revealed who this is.

Dealers interested in selling horror memoribilia at FearFest, will be able to at no cost as spaces for vendors are free. These spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis and those interested will need to be a FearFest member.
