Bananarama to play Birmingham

Eighties pop icons Bananarama will play Birmingham later this year, it has been announced.

The group - formed back in 1979 by friends Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey and Keren Woodward - is best known for hits such as Cruel Summer, Venus, Love In The First Degree and I Heard A Rumour.

Their success on both pop and dance charts have earned them a listing in The Guinness Book of Records as the all-female group with the most chart entries in the world.

The band last performed together at the Brit Awards in 1988.

The trio will perform at the Barclaycard Arena on Thursday, November 23.

Tickets to the show go on sale this Wednesday at 9am.
