Classic cars on the way for Weston Park Motorfest

Midlands' Motorfest will be returning to Weston Park over the Easter holiday with two days of motoring action.

The event will be held on April 16 and 17, and about 1,700 vehicles spanning more than 80 years will be on display.

Motorfest will feature cars from the 1920s to the 1980s, with classic American cars plus commercial vehicles of the past and an array of 4x4s.

More than 70 local car clubs will be in attendance with displays from BMW Car Club, Jaguar Enthusiasts Club and Mercedes-Benz. For those who prefer two-wheel transport, there will be a selection of motorcycles of the past.

There will also be new live music features, and shopping stalls.

Throughout Sunday, the retro girl band The Glamophones will be providing sounds of the 1940s and 1950s and on Monday, The Quik Beats will play the sounds of the 1960s.

There will be Autojumble stands and for the younger show goers, there will be an Easter Egg hunt as well as a classic funfair rides in the park and the attractions of Weston Park will be open throughout the weekend.

The Live Arena will have daily displays and contests.

Gates open at 10am until 4pm. Admission is £10 for adults, £5 for children, with a family ticket for £25.
