Holly Mills, member of pantomime group Startime Variety, has added new characters to the play which will be performed at Halesowen's Cornbow Hall this month.

Promoters for Startime Variety said people can look forward to a mix of song and dance as the pantomime has been given a 'new take'.

Startime Variety spokesman Jeanette Greenway said: "There will be comedy, song and dance. It will be a different take on the normal play.

"New characters will feature fairies called Tom, Dick and Harry. It is the first time that Holly has produced a play."

Holly's sister, Gemma, will be playing the part of Prince Stephen, who is among the new characters she has added. Other new characters include Princess Adorabell, Mis Chief, Truly Scrumptious, Queen Doorbell and Ding Dong. Holly, from Halesowen, said she was 'really excited' to see her play 'come to life' on stage.

The teenager, who is studying at Newman University in Birmingham, said: "I am really looking forward to seeing my first-ever script come to life, it has been a really exciting journey.

"It is the first time I have ever written and produced a play.

"All the characters names I have came up with myself."
