German war plane to land at RAF Museum Cosford
A World War Two plane which fought our own Hurricanes and Spitfires during the Battle of Britain is set to land at RAF Museum Cosford.

The Junkers Ju88R-1 is expected to move from its current location in the Battle of Britain Hall at London's RAF Museum in early January.
A photo of the German plane was shared on the RAF Museum's Twitter feed. The tweet read:
"Coming soon at Cosford....the Junkers Ju88R-1. The aircraft will be transported from the RAF Museum London to our Cosford site early January."
According to the museum's website, the Ju88 was the most versatile German combat aircraft during the conflict. It began life as a bomber, but later was used as a night fighter and intruder. Its missions included undertaking anti-shipping operations, as well as flying long-range reconnaissance missions.
The Ju88A played a major role in German operations during the Battle of Britain, taking part in a number of daylight actions against British radar stations, airfields and ports in the opening phases.
