The Best Short Films of the Year competition comprises a selection of seven NFTS students' short films, the majority of which have won or been nominated for major awards.

Audiences will be asked to get involved and 'watch, judge and decide' to pick their favourite film.

The films included will be Present, The Alan Dimension, Sweet Maddie Stone, Patriot, Fishwitch, A Love Story and Ferris & The Fancy Pigeon.

The certificates for these films have been confirmed as 15 so the programme is unsuitable for young children.

This is the first time that these films have been shown to the general public and ODEON is the only major European cinema chain to support new film-makers in this way.

Teaming up with NFTS and ODEON, Native Monster is offering readers the chance to win one of three pairs of tickets tickets to the event in Birmingham on Tuesday, January 17.
