The Scottish pop band are back on the road once more and will headline Birmingham's Symphony Hall tonight.

After almost six million album sales, 12 UK Top 40 singles and two UK Number One albums, Deacon Blue are one of the most passionate live bands around.

The tour coincides with the 25th Anniversary of their platinum selling 1991 album Fellow Hoodlums, which includes Top 10 hit and live favourite Twist & Shout and the beautiful Your Swaying Arms.

The band's recent single, The Believers, put them back onto radio playlists.

Lead singer and songwriter Ricky said: "The refugee story is the backdrop to the whole album. It was happening all the time that we were writing it, so it was very definitely there in the background.

"You contemplate the pros and cons of any argument, relationships, buying a house, getting a job, voting in a referendum. You weigh it all up and you make your decision based on your gut instinct. That got me thinking about how in so many situations we give ourselves over to trust and belief."
