More than £119,000 has been pledged to a campaign to bring back Caitlin and Caroline Moran's series, which was canned by Channel 4, after the end of the second series.

Now, the city-raised sisters are offering generous folk who donate to the campaign the chance to be involved in the production side, if the show does return.

The pair launched #savethewolves – a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for new episodes of the critically-acclaimed comedy earlier this year.

The campaign's initial goal is to fund one episode, which would cost £320,000, with future episodes determined on funds raised and partners sought.

Actress Molly Risker, who plays Yoko in the series, said: "We do have a target set of £320,000 – this will only cover one episode - which is a hell of a lot of money."

"As I am a local girl, born and bred in Wolverhampton, this show means a lot to me; it's given me the chance to start my career and do something I love. I would hate it if I didn't try and push the chance to create more episodes.

"I honestly appreciate any bit of help you can give."

The campaign asks fans to donate but it offers rewards from £5 to £5000, with reward incentives including roles as extras and VIP premiere tickets. There could also be the possibility for generous folk to be given hands-on production roles on a new episode or series.
