Jenny Billingsley, 49, from Codsall, had the idea for the themed ball for charity Breast Cancer Now, which took place at the Ramada Hotel on January 16.

The mother-of-two works full time as the director of community relations at Sunrise Senior Living in Tettenhall.

Ms Billingsley said: "I picked this charity for friendship reasons really. I know many people who have been affected by breast cancer, some who have lost loved ones, some who have beaten it and others just going through it now."

"I had hoped to raise £10,000, but I never thought the figure would be £19,000," she added.

"I just want to say a big thank you to all those that bought tickets."
