The event's usual home at the Wulfrun Hall is not available this summer due to the refurbishment of it and the Civic Hall ,which is currently under way.

The Wolverhampton branch of the Campaign for Real Ale is looking instead at holding the 41st annual event from June 9 to 11 in the Newhampton Arts Centre in Dunkley Street.

Branch spokesman John Nightingale said it was still subject to final confirmation and approval from Camra.

"We have looked at other places around the city including The Slade Rooms in Broad Street, but the arts centre is the best option," he added.
