Young Voices on song in LG Arena concert
Thousands of school children from across the West Midlands were in fine voice as they took part in the first of the annual Young Voices concerts at the LG Arena.

Led by X Factor starlet Stacey Solomon, pupils from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Sandwell and Staffordshire performed as part of the one of the largest children's choirs in the world.
Songs included a pop medley featuring hits from bands such as One Direction, as well as more classical pieces such as Hallelujah and The Lord's Prayer.

Many of the schools who performed had been preparing for the event since September and displayed banners to show where they were from.
Among those taking part at the venue in Birmingham were pupils from Brewood Middle School, with 26 singers from the school near Wolverhampton joining in.
Music teacher, Charlotte Sargent was leading her choir of children aged nine to 13. She said: "It's a fantastic event. The atmosphere has been incredible, the children are all so excited to perform.
"We've been rehearsing every Tuesday for the last six months for today and we have been really looking forward to it."
