The tour starts tomorrow at the Manchester Apollo and will be Satriani's first in the UK since the Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards Tour 2010.

He will be joined by blues guitarist Matt Schofield. The tour follows the release of Satriani's new solo album, Unstpppable Momentum. The enterprising guitarist is also in the planning stages of career retrospective box set.

Earlier this year, Satriani performed a sold out concert with Chickenfoot at the London Brixton Academy in support of the band's second album III. Unstoppable Momentum is Satriani's 14th studio album.

"But for Unstoppable Momentum, I wanted to see if I could make a record kind of like the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."
