Review: 60s Gold at the Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
[gallery] Sixties bands still love the limelight, as they proved when they rolled back the years for a reunion at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Gerry & the Pacemakers were supported by The Animals, PJ Proby and Steve Ellis in what was a sing-a-long classic at the city venue last night.
Gerry, of the Pacemakers, insisted that the house lights were turned on for his set, and when the men pulling the strings asked why, they were told: "That's how Gerry likes it."
At the start, Ellis got hands in the air with 'Everlasting Love' – his legacy from his time with Love Affair in the 1960s – but The Animals were next up, proving that they're the ones with staying real power.
The Geordie rockers went chapter and verse through what makes them great, with 'We Gotta Get Out of This Place,' 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' and the classic 'House of the Rising Sun.'
Then Gerry and Co, and third wheel, PJ Proby, joined the party. Proby, the 73-year-old rocker from the United States, split them up, but this was definitely an all-England battle at the Civic.
It wouldn't be much without Gerry, who was there at the start in 1959, as they belted the likes of 'How Do You Do It,' 'Ferry Cross The Mersey and' 'I Like it.'
Then, of course, came the finale that has sparked many a match-day song in Gerry's Liverpool and the Celtic side of Glasgow, 'You'll Never Walk Alone.'
On this evidence, it's clear Gerry never will.
