Carrbridge based singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni will show West Midlands fans why she's fast becoming one of the UK's most popular players during a headline gig at Birmingham's Glee Club.
Sermanni has thrilled fans across the UK and Europe this summer with a string of festival performances.
Her Scottish Highlands background has shaped her music and fans at her Glee Club gig can expect a blend of folk guitar melodies and witty story-telling accompanied by an astonishing voice.
The singer has released a debut EP, Black Currents, and a follow-up, Eggshells, which follow her recent move from the rural skiing fields of Carrbridge to the bustle of Glasgow in a soulful style, layered with delicate finger-picked acoustic guitars.
Fans can also experience her bold stage presence, which has previously captivated the audiences of other popular pop/folk acts including Mumford & Sons, Newton Faulkner and KT Tunstall, whom Sermanni has supported.
Sermanni has appeared recently at at Leeds, Greenbelt and Reading festivals and will be playing songs from her debut singles and from her album Under Mountains.
She will play at the Glee Club's Studio Room, an intimate venue offering seating for up to 150 fans.
Meanwhile, the Glee Club will also host Jesca Hoop on September 19, on her House That Jack Built Tour.
Jesca joined Eels on their US and European tour and was invited by Peter Gabriel to sing backing vocals for his David Letterman and Jools Holland TV performances, and support and duet with him on his South American tour last year.
