Brummie band Ocean Colour Scene top the list of performers coming to Wolverhampton over the next seven days.

The Britpop group bring their Moseley Shoals tour to the Civic Hall tonight.

The band, fronted by Simon Fowler, have five top 10 albums and six top 10 singles under their belts.

It is 15 years since Ocean Colour Scene released Moseley Shoals, one of their most successful albums to date. They re-released the album in March this year as a deluxe version with two CDs featuring all the B-sides from the album's four consecutive top 20 singles, including fans' favourite Robin Hood and an incendiary cover of Day Tripper from the Camden Electric Ballroom.

Someone with an even longer career in the music industry, Adam Ant, plays at sister venue the Wulfrun Hall tonight.

His career has spanned an incredible 35 years. He has had 10 top 10 singles with his band Adam and the Ants and also as a solo artist, with three hits reaching number one in the UK.

With hundreds of shows performed in the UK since 1977, Adam has also toured extensively throughout the United States, mainland Europe, Australia and Japan. He is best known for the songs Stand and Deliver, Prince Charming, Kings of the Wild Frontier, Goody Two-Shoes and Dog Eat Dog. The gig is a sell-out.

Irish rock band The Saw Doctors will be on stage at the Wulfrun Hall on Sunday.

The band are best known for the hit I Useta Lover, which spent nine weeks at number one in the charts in their native land.

Formed in 1986 in Tuam, County Galway, the group have achieved 18 top 30 singles in Ireland, including three number ones. Renowned for their live performances, the band have a cult following, especially in Ireland, the UK and America.

In 2008, The Saw Doctors received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Meteor Ireland Music Awards.

Meanwhile English indie rockers White Lies will perform their best known songs at the Civic Hall on Monday. The Ealing trio are sure to belt out their anthemic gloom-pop tunes including Unfinished Business, Death and To Lose My Life.

Folk singer and songwriter Kate Rusby will be hoping to play to a packed-out Civic Hall on Thursday. The defining voice of contemporary English folk music, Rusby's expressive vocals invest whatever she sings with irresistible emotional depth.

The evening follows the release of her new album, While Mortals Sleep, which features Yorkshire-inspired songs and carols. Kate is touring with her band, complete with brass quintet and will be performing festive songs learned through childhood in her native South Yorkshire.
