So we're into December,

writes DJ Stuart Ojelay

, and sorry but I have to start this column with another 'I'm writing this from. . .' This time it's a place I've always longed to visit – Dubai.

I'm really looking forward to sampling the culture, sights, sounds and of course sunshine! Ohh and the little matter of my Hed Kandi gig at Barasti Beach Club!

But don't fear, my finger is still firmly on the Midland pulse and I have lots of clubbing frivolity for you.

Starting with some rebellious antics in Couture Stafford where the former X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza is appearing. He got banned from the show for his debaucherous behaviour and is now going to most likely get paid for it – not bad work if you can get it Isuppose and I'm sure the masses will no doubt flock to see him.

It's great to see new quality house nights nice cropping up and this can definitely be said about Kulture in Cannock at the sublime Bank Bar and Vaults.

Headlining will be Dirty Harris alongside Nick Garrish, Miami Jay, James M and Jack Harris who will be supplying only the finest deep through to tech beats.

Lush & Flip founders Joe Campbell and Danny Jones have been hosting these brands for a year now and they celebrate in style by hosting Gorgeous Bar in Wolverhampton tonight.

Those who purchase tickets are guaranteed a free CD, free vodka shot on entry and face painting to get you in the celebratory mood!

Vogue in Walsall launches their new Friday-nighter Glam tonight. The music policy is commercial R 'n' B, house and jackline supplied by DJs Rikki Harris, Mr Tubz, Jim Ashley and Ricky Cowley.

Keep a look out for celebrity hosts throughout the coming weeks, fused with percussion artists, stilt walkers and fire breathers.

Continuing in Walsall for your Saturday night and something definitely different for you all is The 3D Rave at WS1. At no extra cost WS1 will issue everyone who comes into the club with a pair of 3D glasses, they then use 15x42 inch plasma TVs and two 10x10ft projector screens for the live DJ show. All the music is set to match the images and visuals on the screen, all-aiming to stun!

Moving into Birmingham and it's the return of a party that's the self-proclaimed wildest party in the UK, Brothel at the Rainbow Warehouse.

After the success of their previous event you can expect even wilder acts and psychedelic, surreal performers. DJ's playing a mixture of house and mash-up beats include All Good & Big Love, Jimmy Kennedy, Ejay, George Kafetzis and Attison.

Then a true legend of the vocal house scene, Robert Owens descends on the afterparty haven of If U Want It at Bushwackers. He's had a series of true club classics that have defined the sound for many years. Supporting DJs include JusSoul, Dave Thatcher, Jay Dee Thomas and Bexta.

For those in the know, there's soemthing special happening in Brum with the VIP launch of new club Allure.

Opening tomorrow, Allure hits Bar 78, (formerly Med Bar in the Custard Factory). This refurbed venue oozes class and glamour with luxurious VIP areas and an exquisite dance floor setting the scene for the perfect VIP night out!

The club night promises sounds of soulful house, R 'n' B and club classics but it's strictly invite only at the launch party. DJs at the launch include One Four and Kay Kassanova.

That's all for this week guys, have a great weekend – see you on the other side!
