Music legend Sir Elton John is to appear at Birmingham's LG Arena next June for a special 'one night only' show.
He will play the LG Arena on Friday, June 15, 2012. Tickets, priced at £40, £60, £75 and £95, plus booking and transaction fees go on sale at 10am on Friday, December 2, 2011, from www.theticketfactory.com or on 0844 338 8000.
Sir Elton rose to fame back in the late 1960s and has, since then, gone on to become one of the most successful artists of all time. He currently sits at Number 3 in the 'Billboard Hot 100 top artists of all time', behind The Beatles and Madonna.
Along with his long-term lyricist Bernie Taupin, Sir Elton has achieved 35 gold and 25 platinum albums, 29 consecutive Top 40 hits and has sold an amazing 250-million records worldwide.
Sir Elton said: "This October I played my 3,000th live concert, and I am still as excited about playing live as I was when my career began – in fact probably more so.
"I have played Birmingham many times since my first concert there in January 1971 at Mothers, and the audiences have been always fantastic. So I'm looking forward to returning next summer – you can expect a night of hit songs, singing, dancing and lots of fun!"
