R n B singer-songwriter Keri Hilson has embarked on her first UK tour as a solo artist, performing songs from her two albums, including the Grammy-nominated debut In A Perfect World and last year's No Boys Allowed.

Having made her name as a featured artist on songs with the likes of Chipmunk, Fabolous, Chris Brown and Timbaland, Hilson has also written hits for some of R n B's biggest names – including Mary J Blige's Take Me as I Am, The Pussycat Dolls' Wait a Minute, Britney Spears' Gimme More and Ciara's Like a Boy.

After years of watching other people get success off her work, the 28-year-old finally managed to get signed as a singer and released her debut album in 2009.

She will play Birmingham's O2 Academy on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £25.
