After announcing his first ever arena tour earlier this month, chart star Example has added four news shows due to popular demand – including a date at Birmingham's NIA.

It has been a killer year for Example after Changed The Way You Kiss Me held the No.1 position in the UK charts for two weeks, and now Example has announced he will perform at Birmingham's NIA on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, as part of his first headline arena tour.

Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday, September 23, 2011, priced at £23.50 (subject to booking & transaction fees) and available from The Ticket Factory: www.theticketfactory.com or 0844 338 8000.

Changed The Way You Kiss Me beat rock giants Coldplay to the top, selling over 500,000 copies, it is now certified gold and ranked as one of the biggest selling singles of the year. His latest single Stay Awake also topped the charts.

Example's brand new No.1 gold album Playing in the Shadows is a 12-track album of relentless monster tunes. Once again Example has worked with the crème de la crème of the industry's dance producers, teaming up again with Chase and Status on the title track, Faithless who he toured with last year for The Way and Nero on new single Stay Awake. Further production also comes courtesy of Funkagenda, Skream, Laidback Luke and Brookes Brothers to name a few.

Wretch 32 has also been confirmed as support for the Birmingham date. Earlier this year Example featured on the Wretch 32 No.2 smash Unorthodox and Giggs's Look Over Your Shoulder.

Example wowed crowds at festivals all over country this summer, including Glastonbury, Wireless, Lovebox, Big Chill, V2011, Creamfields and an iTunes headline to name a few. He also returned to the Balearic isle to headline Ibiza and

Mallorca Rocks. Not content with a sold out 17-date headline UK tour running throughout November and December, his new arena tour, which calls at Birmingham's NIA, takes Example to a whole new level.
