Singer Adele's appearance at an awards ceremony last night has raised hopes that she will be fighting fit to perform in the Black Country this weekend – after cancelling her first two tour dates due to illness.
The 23-year-old looked like she was feeling better as she mingled with fellow stars at London's glitzy Mercury Music Prize awards bash.
Doubt was cast over the singer's gigs at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall on Saturday and Sunday after she axed performances in Plymouth and Bournemouth due to bronchitis. Civic Hall spokesman Jonn Penney said today: "We're desperate to have her here and everyone has got their fingers crossed."
Her second album '21' was in the running for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize but she was pipped by singer-songwriter PJ Harvey, depspite being tipped to land the £20,000 prestigious award.
