Evita coming to Birmingham Hippodrome

With more than 20 major awards to its credit, including the Oscar-winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, and featuring some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, Evita follows the extraordinary life of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, who, from young and ambitious beginnings, gained enormous wealth and power during her ultimate rise to sainthood.
Abigail Jaye will play the role of Eva. Her musical theatre credits include her role as Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Isobel in Scrooge (West End and UK Tour).
Joining Abigail on stage in the role of Che is Mark Powell, whose credits include Evita (West End), Whistle Down the Wind (West End) and Les Misérables (West End).
Evita features some of the most famous and inspiring stage music ever written, including the classic songs Don't Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, Oh What A Circus, You Must Love Me, Another Suitcase in Another Hall and High Flying Adored.
