The final show of the Wolverhampton on the Fringe comedy season at the city's Light House will feature Birmingham's own Shazia Mirza and international comedy star Zoe Lyons.

The season represents a chance to see sneak preview performances before they are taken to Edinburgh Fringe in August.

Shazia Mirza and Zoe Lyons will appear at Light House on Thursday July 28, 2011, doors open 8.15pm, for 8.30pm start. Tickets cost £12, over 18s only, from 01902 716055 or www.light-house.co.uk

Mirza's comedy is a unique blend. Her Pakistani parentage and Birmingham upbringing have resulted in a comedy rich in its diversity.

She works all over the world and has toured the US, Sweden, Denmark, France, Holland and Germany. She has appeared on CBS 60 Minutes, NBC's Last Comic Standing, and Have I Got News for You. She is a columnist for The Guardian and The New Statesmen.

Lyons is regarded as one of the hottest comedy talents on the international circuit, and is returning with a brand new show after taking part in the 2010 New Zealand Comedy Festival and Melbourne comedy road show.

She has appeared on TV programmes such as Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Mock The Week, is a patron of PRIDE UK alongside Sir Stephen Fry and Sir Ian McKellan and was ranked in The Independent on Sunday's Pink List as one of the top 100 most influential gay personalities in the UK.
