It's Friday afternoon. What's on your mind?
Getting ready to go out and looking forward to the weekend.
Who normally has the pleasure of your company at the weekend?
I've got a lot of great friends and we usually get together on Saturday and go out for a meal or something like that.
How do you prepare for a big night out?
I'd be taking it easy in the day because I usually have too much to drink and end up suffering the next day.
What's your favourite party outfit?
Black. Everything I've got is black. If you look in my wardrobe the whole lot is black. It looks a bit boring.
You've just arrived at the bar. What's your first drink?
Usually I like Champagne. I like beer but it bloats me up so Champagne and red wine.
What is your favourite nightspot and why?
I don't go to nightspots now. There are plenty around Birmingham but those days are behind me now.
What tune always gets you on the dance floor?
You'd be lucky to see me on the dance floor. The one time I got up was with my daughter and I've never lived it down. They got pictures of me and that was it.
It's a sunny Saturday. What are you up to?
I like to go out, have a drive around or maybe have a sit in the garden. What everybody else does really.
What's the recipe for a perfect night in?
Have a nice dinner with my wife and watch a film. We've got a cinema room and we'll go and sit in that.
Favourite DVD? And what would you eat while watching it?
There are so many brilliant films being made it's hard to put one on it. I thought the Lord of Rings films were fantastic. I would eat nothing. I used to eat all the time but I try and keep a lid on it now. I don't eat after a certain time any more.
Sunday lunch – home-cooked or down the pub?
Usually home-cooked because I'm suffering from the night before.
Where and how do you like to relax?
By going out for dinner with friends.
Sunday breakfast – cooked or continental?
Pretty boring really – we have alternate breakfasts. Porridge every other morning and Shredded Wheat every other day.
You've got a whole weekend off and a wad of money in your back pocket - which country or city do you head to?
I wouldn't. I've done all that travelling while working so I'm happy just to be at home.
