Rock icon Corey Taylor is best known as the frontman of mask-wearing rockers Slipknot and metal band Stone Sour.

He's also battled his fair share of demons – not least drink, drugs and everything that comes with living a rock and roll lifestyle.

Now the American rocker has written a book all about his once crazy life and his later realisation that it had got out of control.

Called Seven Deadly Sins – as Taylor believes he has committed all of them – the book was released on Monday and to launch it, he will be signing copies at a meet and greet event at Waterstone's in Birmingham High Street from 12.30pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

This will be followed by an intimate performance at The HMV Institute in Birmingham that evening. Called An Evening With Corey Taylor, he will read extracts from the book, perform songs and chat to fans.
