Midlands rock supergroup Black Country Communion are riding high after their second album '2' hit the No. 1 spot in the Official UK Rock Album Chart this week, overtaking the Foo Fighters album Wasting Light.
The news follows the rave reviews of BCC's follow up album, produced by Kevin Shirley and featuring Cannock-born Glenn Hughes, formerly of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Trapeze, Dudley-born Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin drummer John, American guitar virtuoso Joe Bonamassa and former Dream Theater keyboard player Derek Sherinian.
Earlier this month Hughes told the Express & Star: "I think this album is deep. What you hear on this album is a finely tuned machine . . . and that's from a band that's only done two shows." Read the full Glenn Hughes interview here.
