Newton Faulkner to play at Wolverhampton Slade Rooms

He has performed in front of thousands of music fans at the likes of Glastonbury and V Festival.But singer Newton Faulkner will be returning to his roots and playing a much more intimate gig when he comes to Wolverhampton's Slade Rooms on Tuesday.

He has performed in front of thousands of music fans at the likes of Glastonbury and V Festival.But singer Newton Faulkner will be returning to his roots and playing a much more intimate gig when he comes to Wolverhampton's Slade Rooms on Tuesday (June 14, 2011).

The 26-year-old has sold out the venue after only announcing the city gig last month.

He is best known for the hit Dream Catch Me.

Brit-nominated Faulkner has had a hugely successful past few years.

He released latest album Rebuilt By Humans in 2009, which shot to number three in the UK album charts.

The album's release was delayed by two months after the singer broke his wrist and dislocated his hand.

Rebuilt By Humans was a follow up to Faulkner's hugley successful 2007 debut album Hand Built By Robots, which reached number one in the charts.

Faulkner is currently writing and recording his third studio album at his home in Surrey.

The album is expected to be released soon.

In the past Faulkner has also performed at Oxegen, T in the Park and Latitude Festival.
