Wolverhampton indie/electronica four-piece Silhouettes have a gig in their home town to celebrate the release of their debut seven-track EP, Paint Me As You See Me.
Silhouettes will be headlining Newhampton Arts Centre in Wolverhampton on Saturday, February 12.
Singer and guitarist Nathan Till said: "This is proving to be a big show, as we have drummed up a lot of interest."
He added: "We have been playing together as Silhouettes for a year-and-a-half now. We describe our music as indie/electronica, with our main influences being Radiohead, Nick Cave, and Arcade Fire."
The rest of the band comprises drummer Jason Cuthill, keyboard player Ben Blewitt and bassist Dan Batchelor.
With their music beling described as full of "angular guitar riffs, tumbling keyboard fills and a propulsive drive" as well as "spooked rhythmic turbulence" and "fusion of spacey soulfulness and reverb storms", the band has found itself featured on Kerrang! radio's unsigned show, receiving positive comments from host Alex Baker.
And they have been offered the chance to record the follow-up to Paint Me As You See Me in New York.
Till explains: "A producer in New York, Fernando Lodeiro, heard our music and invited us to record our next EP at Avatar studios – apparently one of the best studios in the world. We are currently arranging finance for this venture."
The EP is available to download from iTunes, Amazon and also in CD format. Links are on the band's website www.silhouettesmusic.net
Also on the bill at Newhampton Arts Centre are Talk, from Shropshire, and another up and coming band from Wolverhampton, Bad Apes.
