Over the past 5 years, Latitude festival has been home to performances from the greatest musicians, bands, poets and comedians. With 2010 set to be no different, and five being the key number, five of this years performers were asked five-themed questions.

Irish comedian, actor, writer and Perrier award-winning Tommy Tiernan will be amongst the top lineup of comedians at this year's festival. Tiernan set the Guinness World Record in April 2009 for the longest Stand-Up Comedy Show by an individual after performing for a staggering 36 hours and 15 minutes. So far this year he has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and completed sell out solo tours of Australia and New Zealand. Later this year he will be embarking on a 6 week solo UK tour, including a stop at Birmingham's Glee Club.

If you could only see one performance at this year's festival what would it be?
Ex President of America Jimmy Carter retyping by forehead the entire text of Finnegans Wake in original Hebrew surrounded by the surviving members of Bow Wow Wow singing the lost songs of Rolf Harris
What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
A Pool Cue, A Box of Vodka Lozenges, A map of my Id, A certain Je ne sais Quoi, Coleslaw
Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
Halfway through my set, a giant plasma lunchbox will be lowered on to the stage full of digital sandwiches for the entire world
Latitude is 5 years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?
I had my first cup of coffee and then learnt all the pauses in Harold Pinters plays off by heart
Rufus Hound, perhaps now best known for dressing up as Cheryl Cole and performing a show-stopping dance routine to "Fight for This Love" in order to win this year's "Let's Dance For Sport Relief", will also be performing at the Comedy Arena. Hound appears regularly as a panalist on Dave's Argumental and ITV2's Celebrity Juice, and is a regular at comedy venues across the country including London's Comedy Store.
When you think of Latitude what 5 words spring to mind?
Hummous, Chablis, Sheep, The Guardian and Lazy.
If you could only see one performance at this year's festival what would it be?
Seann Walsh. He owes me money and I'm not letting him run off like last time.
What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
Hummous, Chablis, Sheep, The Guardian and Camper Van (to be lazy in).
Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
As a special treat, I'm going to do almost exactly the same material as I did last year, except this time, with slightly more gratuitous swearing.
Latitude is 5 years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?
Same as I celebrate all my birthdays. Initial over-excitement, followed by over-consumption then feel dizzy, be sick on my Mum and end up screaming "This is my party and I want you all to leave."
Platinum-album award winning and 2002 Mercury Music Prize nominees The Coral will take to the Word Arena on Sunday 18th July. In 2005, their single "In the Morning" reached number 6 in the UK singles chart. The band have released five studio albums, and will perform at Latitude in the week following their 6th studio release, Butterfly House. Organs/Vocalist Nick Power answered:

If you could only see one performance at this year's festival what would it be?
Midlake, their last album was really good.
Do you have anything special planned for your performance at Latitude?
There's gonna be tracks from our new album 'Butterfly House' which we haven't really played in public before, so we're all looking forward to it.
Alternative rock band, The Temper Trap from Melbourne, Australia will be performing at the Obelisk Arena on the Sunday night. In 2009 the band released their first studio album, Conditions. Sheep, Environment, Music, Height, Green
If you could only see one performance at this year's festival what would it be?
It would have to be Empire of the Sun. The album was one of my favourites of 2009 and I hear the live show is meant to be amazing.
What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
Toothbrush, Wet wipes, Guitar, Shoes for the wet, Shoes for the dry
Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
We have such a busy schedule at the moment that it's hard to find time but hopefully there will be some practice days coming up and we can figure out something special

I had a super hero's party and I dressed up as superman
When you think of Latitude what 5 words spring to mind?
Festival with multi coloured sheep.
If you could only see one performance at this year's festival what would it be?
Frightened Rabbit. One of my favourite bands.
What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
My guitar, my band, my crew, a van, and some heavy duty boots.
Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
I plan to rock the house, naturally.
