Kinks man Ray Davies makes a return

Rock legend Ray Davies, founder of The Kinks and one of the most successful and influential songwriters to emerge from the British Invasion of the 1960s is set to return to Birmingham.

Rock legend Ray Davies, founder of The Kinks and one of the most successful and influential songwriters to emerge from the British Invasion of the 1960s is set to return to Birmingham.

He will play with his band at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, on Thursday, May 20, 2010. Tickets are £35.50 plus fees.

Davies's hits with The Kinks include the classics You Really Got Me, All Day and All of The Night, Tired of Waiting, Set Me Free, Lola, Sunny Afternoon, Dedicated Follower of Fashion, and Apeman among many others.

He released The Kinks Choral Collection last year with the Crouch End Festival Chorus, and will feature in a new film later this year directed by Julien Temple.
