Legendary crooner Engelbert Humperdinck proved he still knows how to wow a crowd.

The timeless superstar looked as stylish as ever, as he took to the stage decked out in a dark suit and white waistcoat at Birmingham's Symphony Hall. The entertainer has one of the largest fan clubs in the world and his fans and female admirers were out in force on Saturday evening.

But disgruntled fans in some sections of the venue had to contend with a few sound problems, complaining that they could not hear the vocals clearly enough over the band.

Bathed in pink and blue lights and backed by a full band he wooed the audience with some of his best known hits such as Quando, Quando, Quando, as well as tracks from his latest albums. One fan even got a special treat as she was welcomed on stage and personally serenaded.

The 73-year-old has enjoyed a string of hits such as Release Me and There Goes My Everything since shooting to fame in the 1960s and 1970s.
