UK soul queen Beverley Knight will be undertaking her first UK tour in two years this November, which includes a stop in her home city of Wolverhampton followed by a headline show in 2010 in London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
Beverley Knight has also just completed work on her 6th studio album, entitled 100% and due for release on September 14th 2009.
Her career has already seen her win three Mobo awards, with yet another nomination last year, as well as several Mercury and Brit Award nominations.
She has sung by invitation for a host of celebrated fans including David Bowie, Mohammed Ali, Nelson Mandela and the leaders of the G8.
Beverley is currently working hard producing her sixth studio album, which she spent much of last year and the early part of this year writing and recording.
The album features collaborations with the likes of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, (multi Grammy award winning producers of Janet Jackson's albums) Amanda Ghost (co writer of Beyonce and Shakira's Beautiful Liar), and former collaborators Jimmy Hogarth and Guy Chambers, amongst others.
Of the upcoming record, Beverley said: "With the new album I wanted to shake things up again and basically do exactly what I want!
"It's a much more contemporary sound than Music City Soul but I'm still always striving for strong songs and great vocals.
"Keeping things fresh for audiences and fans is crucial and goes hand in hand with stretching myself creatively.
"Moving things on is a good survival strategy in a notoriously fickle industry too – one of the new songs Soul Survivor encapsulates my feelings on that.
"But above all the free approach to this new record has allowed me to have the most fun I've ever had making a record."
Tickets are priced £25.00 (front stalls and balcony) or £21.50 (rear stalls) and are now available from the Midland Box Office on 0870 320 7000 or online at www.wolvescivic.co.uk
