The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is stopping off at The Robin 2 on Saturday, February 28, as part of his UK tour.

Tickets are £22 in advance or £24 on the door.

Carrack is renowned for bringing a little soul to artists as diverse as Mike & The Mechanics, Nick Lowe, and Squeeze, to name but a few.

Robin 2 boss Mike Hamblett said: "It's always great to get Paul Carrack back with his band at The Robin, just total immense talent. He's been there and done it with all the great artists in the world."

From his jazz/rock fusion albums with Warm Dust in the 1970s, to forming the band Ace with bassist Tex Comer, and their hit single How Long, to becoming the keyboard player with Roxy Music, Paul then went on to join Squeeze, replacing Jools Holland on keyboards for their 1981 East Side Story album.

In 1986 Paul joined Roger Waters¹ The Bleeding Hearts Band, but it was in the mid-80s that Carrack first teamed up with Mike Rutherford from Genesis to form Mike & The Mechanics.

With Carrack on leads vocals and keyboards the band scored two massive hit singles from their debut album: Silent Running and All I Need Is A Miracle.

Then in 1989, the title track from the band's second album The Living Years hits No.1 in the US and Canada and No 2 in the UK.

The early 90s saw Paul enjoying continued success with Mike & The Mechanics, with four more albums.

Carrack has continued to tour and record as a solo musician, his mopst recent album being 2008's I Know That Name.

One of his songs, I Don't Want To Hear Anymore, was covered by The Eagles on their reunion album, Long Road Out Of Eden.

Support at Bislton will come from Kym Hart.
