Miles shares the spotlight in Brum
Stourbridge-born singer, guitarist and songwriter Miles Hunt, best known as the frontman from popular 90s band The Wonderstuff, will be hosting a unique acoustic event called Shared, which takes place at the newly refurbished Birmingham Town Hall later this month.

On Friday, January 30, Miles will be joined on stage by fellow Wonderstuff member Erica Nockalls, as well as a host of artists he has admired over the years including The Mission's Wayne Hussey, Haircut 100's Nick Heyward and Aztec Camera's Roddy Frame.
Miles explains: "Having now been touring and releasing records for over two decades I have seen more than my fair share of gigs, from the early energetic era of the mid 1980s indie music scene to the more considered acoustic singer, songwriter and raconteur that I now find myself a part of,"
"And I'm more than happy in the company that I currently share - so much so that having been given the opportunity to play at Birmingham Town Hall, I felt compelled to invite a gathering of some of the finest players I've seen over the years.
He adds: "Every artist performing at Shared has had a great affect on me, not only as a writer and performer myself, but also as a fan, and I take it as an honour that they have accepted my invite.
"I like to think that this, hopefully the first of many such events, will allow audiences to reconnect, or even connect for the first time, with artists that continue to write, record and tour - artists who, in my humble opinion, perhaps do not receive the attention that they deserve, given their wonderfully consistent output, each spanning more than a decade.
"And where better to stage this event than the prestigious surroundings of Birmingham Town Hall?"
Tickets are priced from £19.50. Visit www.myspace.com/sharedevent to find out more.
