Scouting out a top crowd
Student Rebecca Webb of Whitmore Reans gives her verdict on Scouting for Girls' Wolverhampton show.
Scouting for Girls won't forget their trip to the Civic. The atmosphere was brilliant - the band members seemed in shock at the reception they got.
Except for two new songs, the audience sang the words all the way. I've seen the band twice before but this was definitely the best - the crowd was buzzing and the band loved it.
Scouting for Girls were on stage for more than an hour and did two encores saving one of their best-known hits, She's So Lovely, until last.
The highlight for me came halfway through when they played Heartbeat from the first album. They went right through all their hits - It's Not About You, Elvis Ain't Dead, The Airplane Song - and more. No-one was disappointed.
I was quite surprised at the age range of fans, with people there in their 40s and 50s.
There was more of a teenybopper audience at the previous gigs. I think it helped to make the night more special.
