Legendary singer Art Garfunkel was back in the Midlands to wow his fans at a concert held at Birmingham Symphony Hall last night.

The American singer songwriter is one of the sixties most enduring acts and was on stage last night where he entertained his army of fans.

The venue was a sell out as Garfunkel entertained with some of his greatest hits which have catapulted him to legendary status.

He has made an indisputable mark on the music world, both as a solo artist and as half of the unrivaled Art & Garfunkel. Last night the 66-year-old was back in the Midlands armed with such classic songs as Bright Eyes, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Sounds of Silence and Mrs Robinson and doo-wop classic Goodnight My Love.

Simon and Garfunkel hit the big time with song, The Sound of Silence, which shot to Number 1 in the 1960s .

Simon and Garfunkel went on to become one of the most popular acts of the 1960s, releasing five studio albums. Citing personal differences and divergence in career interests, they split in 1970.
