Young Midlands rock band UXL are fresh back from supporting legendary rockers Magnum and are about to release their album 'Can I Dream Again?'.

Who are they? John Tierney, vocals and guitar

PJ Tierney, guitar

Dan Clark, bass and keyboards

Paul Tierney, drums

Where are they from? Wolverhampton

What's their sound? Rock/indie. UXL describe their influences as "wide and eclectic" ranging from Led Zeppelin and U2 to Iron Maiden and Muse.

What sort of venues do they play? Wulfun Hall, The Robin 2, Sandwell Festival, Worcester Festival, Cambridge Rock Festival and rock venues across the country.

Anything else? Three of the band (made up of three brothers and their long time friend) go to Wolverhampton University. UXL's music also features on a Quiksilver session CD (in stores nationwide) and Girl 23, an offbeat romantic comedy screened at Cannes Film Festival. They've just been invited to play Canadian Music Week in Toronto next year.
