No swing too big for Codsall golf protegee
At just the tender age of seven, Jack Tomlinson will soon be representing his county in the US Kids Golf European Championship,
Jack from Codsall has been teeing off since he was four.
The championship will take place in Scotland in May and Jack will be facing off against competitors from 35 different nations.
Mum Charlotte Tomlinson, 33, said: "We are really proud of Jack and have been blown away by his golfing achievements.
"Jack started playing golf when he was four with his granddad, who is an avid golfer.
"He has been achieving excellent scores in competitions which has allowed him to step up to the championships."
Jack has previously played in the British Junior Golf Competition and the European Juniors.
He also won four gongs last year in the monthly medals tournament held at the Three Hammers golf complex in Coven, Wolverhampton.
Charlotte described how Jack's coach, Matt Lea has been instrumental in helping her son.
"Without his guidance Jack wouldn't be doing what he's doing today," she added.
During the competition, 550 of the world's best young golfers aged between five and 18 will descend on a number of golf courses including Gullane, Craigielaw, Luffness New and Longniddry.
Charlotte added: "Jack enjoys golf so much, he is really excited about going to the championships.
"Our family will be going to watch Jack play."
Jack's also got the opportunity to meet his favourite golfer Rory McIlroy in Miami last year.
