Your pages from the past: November 26, 1983
Lee Stanley tweeted us yesterday, asking to see the Express & Star's front page from November 26, 1983, the day he was born.

The headline read "£30 million gold grab at airport". A story about how armed robbers escaped with £30m bullion in gold after pouring petrol over security staff at Heathrow airport and threatening to set light to them.
" 'Sue union' order to owners of papers" is a story about how the Newspaper Publishers Association council decided that the owners of Britain's national newspapers should take out writs for damages against the National Graphical Association after they failed to print their newspapers.
Pictured on the right of the page is Andrew O'Sullivan, a Wolverhampton baby who tragically died during heart surgery.
Pictured centre is Barnaby the guinea pig who had to be rescued from a gas cooker by firefighters after he hid in it.
