History will probably record that the Ryan Giggs injunction was broken in the Commons by John Hemming MP, writes Peter Rhodes.

Not so. The big secret actually made the leap from the shadows of Twitter to the mainstream media some hours earlier.

It happened on the SKY TV website where blogger Martin Brunt had written a harmless little essay about the media and schools.

The first reply, posted by "leedsyorkshire" at 7.10am on Monday began: "By the way, the footballer in the Imogen Thomas affair is RYAN GIGGS, not that you will be able to publish this."

Thus, eight hours before John Hemming rose to speak, Giggs's name was on the website of one of Britain's biggest news organisations.

It's just that no-one seems to have noticed.

Except me.
