A reader is reminded of the day a new American manager took over a Black Country factory.
Assembling his British workforce, the Yank delivered an inspirational speech which ended with the memorable warning: "And those of you with grass growing under you, I am (dramatic pause) The Lawnmower."
The Yank was apparently surprised that all the Brits laughed out loud.
