Some pundits believe David Cameron could easily win a snap General Election now, writes Peter Rhodes.

The Lib-Dem vote has collapsed, the SNP vote in Scotland is rock-solid, Labour is on the back foot and the Tories had a good night at the local-council elections.

Fortune favours the bold and if Cameron took a chance, he might form a Tory government with a working majority.

But it won't happen for the simple, unexpected, reason that David Cameron seems happier in a coalition than wielding absolute power.

Was anyone in the Tory party aware of this interesting character trait before they made him leader?
